About Me

Hi!

My name is Alyssa. I am so happy to meet you! How to tell you about me? Hmm.. Writing this is about as awkward as the “tell me a little bit about yourself” in job interviews. Let’s see..

• I am twenty-nine years old, currently. I am so excited to have made it this far in years.
• I am married to my best friend. We have made it EIGHT years so far!
• I have an amazing dog named Arthas. (Yes, he is named after a World of Warcraft character)

Now to get to the part that you are REALLY here for..

• I became a “real” Christian in 2022. I say “real” Christian because before 2022, I was just saying the easiest answer. I did not know how I felt but I did not want to put the effort into figuring that out. There was no relationship with God and any behavior from me was just me doing what was expected of me from others.
• I want to make this a blog where people can get some encouragement. Not knowing who God is outside of being a Revelations God (more to come on this in a blog later) for most of my life really had an impact on how I perceived the world. Sometimes it was tough to not know as much as others who have known Him for so much longer. I just want to encourage you today, if that sounds like you, it is okay to not know Him as much. Getting to know Him is such a love-filled process. Please just give it time, there is no rush. There are even benefits to starting the process later!
